You might think being a missionary means leaving your job behind.
But what if your job could be the way you take the good news of Jesus overseas?
In many parts of East and Southeast Asia, your profession may give you unique access to places it’s difficult for church planters and evangelists to reach. Whether you’re just starting out, exploring your next step, or established in your career, God could use you in your job to open doors for the gospel in places where Jesus is not yet known.
OMF believes God uses everyday people in everyday work to do extraordinary things for his kingdom. And we’re here to help you explore how your work—whatever it is—can be part of God’s global mission.
Why Go with Your Job?
Using your skills overseas is a powerful way to share Jesus.
It allows you to:
Live and work in countries where mission workers aren’t usually welcome
Build authentic relationships in the workplace and community
Show the love of Christ through your actions, attitudes, and words
Join in what God is doing among the unreached
Roles might include:
Engineering, IT, or construction
Healthcare and medical services
Teaching English or working in education
Business and entrepreneurship
NGOs, development work, and more
Get Equipped with Work+Go
Work+Go equips Christians to see their work as ministry, with a particular focus on East Asia. Through the pathway they’ve developed participants receive training, support, and connections to live and work cross-culturally, using their profession to make Jesus known where he is least known. They also offer podcasts, books, and events to inspire and support faith-filled work in any context.
