Help us, Lord Jesus, not to boast about tomorrow
For who knows what a day will bring forth.
(from Proverbs 27:1)
We are reminded in these days of how uncertain everything is, and how desperately we need you
Lord Jesus for, “What’s Next.” As we watch the coronavirus redirect the world around us, we are reminded how quickly our plans can change. Please direct us moment by moment through these chaotic times.
May we never stop dreaming and planning, and may we faithfully trust you as life often looks different than we anticipate. May we be flexible as your will manifests itself moment by moment
in each of our lives.
Help us this week Lord Jesus to be a witness of confidence, security, and peace as the world around us caves into panic, hysteria, and fear. May we use this as an opportunity for you to shine through us boldly and courageously in the mighty name of Jesus!
May we watch, wait, listen, and surrender to you, Lord. Sometimes, Sweet Jesus, it all works out according to plan, but most of the time, we need to readjust. May we be flexible through the power of the Holy Spirit with grace and ease not angst, frustration, and fear.
Lead on Lord Jesus, and we will follow you. We may stumble and bumble our way forward, but we know that you delight in us. Thank you for your grace that doesn’t expect perfection! Thank you that you delight in helping us through the most difficult of circumstances. You delight when we look for you to be the answer.
We love you, Jesus! We need you every minute of every hour of every day!
