The United States is home to more international migrants than any other country, receiving 20% of the world’s “people on the move.” Today, 13.8% of U.S. residents are foreign-born, with 1 in 25 people having never heard about Jesus. Many East and Southeast Asians arrive in the U.S. from countries where the gospel isn’t easily accessible.
Through Global Neighbors Ministries, we collaborate with churches and networks to see multiplying followers of Jesus, among every East and Southeast Asian people group across the U.S., who are joining God’s plan to reach all nations.

WHAT WE DO
- Build authentic relationships with individuals from unreached people groups.
- Partner with local churches and individuals to engage these communities.
- Share Jesus in a culturally relevant way that connects with their worldview.
- Disciple new believers so they can, in turn, reach others.
- Connect new believers with local churches or establish a new one.
- Equip those returning to their home country or going to a new country to invest in the growing church.

HOW YOU CAN BE INVOLVED
- Collaborate with us! Do you have a connection to a pastor, church, community or network within one of our focus people groups? We would greatly appreciate learning about them and making a connection with our Global Neighbors Ministries team.
- Get your church involved in reaching diaspora peoples in your area by hosting one of the Global Neighbors Ministries ½ Day Experiences or a series of coaching modules to help your church become intentionally involved in reaching the diaspora in their neighborhood.
- Pray with us! We need intercessors to pray for our team members, the specific people groups we are reaching here in the U.S., and the many relational partnerships we are building across the U.S.

- City Advocate: Focus on sharing Jesus with one of the less reached communities from East & Southeast Asia in your area, while learning and building relational partnerships with individuals and churches in the area with a common passion! Read the full role description.
- Engagement Coordinator: Network leader (and lead “learner”) for one of OMF’s focus people groups in the U.S. Build relational partnerships with churches and national efforts to engage this group across the U.S., look for areas of strategic need for outreach, manage City Advocates focused on this group in specific cities across the U.S., and be a part of the leadership team for the Global Neighbors Ministry. - Returnee Focus Team Member: A crisis comes for many East Asians moving back to their home country as believers. In the face of many challenges, only an estimated 20% of those who go home professing faith in Christ engage with a local church. Our Returnee Focus team equips, encourages, and connects East and Southeast Asian returnees so they can thrive as Christians in their home contexts, or wherever God leads them.
