Answering your frequently asked questions.

All donations will be used for the work of OMF International in bringing hope to East Asia’s peoples. Following the guidelines of the IRS, OMF International will exercise complete control over the use of all donated funds. Please make checks out to “OMF International” only (checks made out to any other payee will be returned to you). If you wish to indicate a particular OMF International project or missionary, please include a note or letter requesting this giving preference. Please do not send cash donations in the mail. OMF International is a tax-exempt publicly supported religious organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. How do I give by check?

Please make your check payable to OMF International and mail to:

Enclose a note stating the missionary name or project name and project number you would like to support. We do not use numbers for our missionaries. For IRS compliance, please do not write missionary names on your check memo line.

How do I set up recurring donations from my bank?

Please complete the OMF International (U.S.) Automatic Donation Plan Form (Electronic Fund Transfer, EFT) and send it along with a checking account voided check or a savings account deposit slip to the address above. The withdrawal will occur on the 15th of the month (or closest business day to the 15th).

Is there a charge for ADP?

No, there is no charge to you. In fact, it saves you time, stamps, checks and envelopes.

When are the ADP donations made from my account?

About the 15th of the month.

How can I prove I made a contribution?

Your receipt from OMF International is your record for income tax purposes.

Is ADP risky?

It is actually less risky than payment made by check. It can’t be lost in the mail, and it has a very high rate of accuracy.

I’d like to use bill pay through my own bank. How do I set that up?

Please contact the Donations office for your donor number and to let us know your donation preference. E-mail donations@omf.org or call 800.422.5330 ext. 242. How do I give by credit card?

Are there fees related to credit card transactions?

Yes, we are charged a 2.5-3% fee by bank and credit card institutions to process credit and debit card transactions. This charge is deducted from the money given to the missionary’s support. Do you offer recurring credit card donations?

Recurring credit card donations are not available at this time.

Do you accept credit or debit card donations over the phone?

Is it okay to send cash?

No, please send a money order or check to the address above.

Are gifts tax-deductible?

Yes, OMF International is a tax exempt nonprofit organization under 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Donations for missionary support, projects or the Vital Support Ministries fund (General Fund) are tax-deductible. In compliance with IRS guidelines, contributions are made with the understanding that OMF International has complete control over the use of the donated funds.

What is your tax exempt ID number?

The tax exempt number for OMF International is 23-0470990.

How do I give a missionary a personal gift such as a Christmas or Birthday gift?

Personal, non tax-deductible gifts are accepted from individuals but not churches. Make your check payable to OMF International and enclose a note stating it is a personal, non tax-deductible gift. Please give us the name of the missionary and the nature of the gift such as Birthday or Christmas gift.

How do I update my contact information?

To change an address, phone or e-mail, please contact the Donations office. Send an e-mail to: donations@omf.org or call 800.422.5330 ext. 242.

How do I make changes to my recurring Automatic Donation Plan (Electronic Funds Transfer, EFT)?

To update your bank information, please either call the Donations office at 800.422.5330, ext. 242 or send a new voided check to the Donations office at the address above. Enclose a note stating that it is a new bank for an existing EFT. To increase or decrease the amount of the donation or to cancel the EFT, please contact the Donations office by sending an e-mail to donations@omf.org or calling 800.422.5330, ext.242.

How do I receive receipts by e-mail?

I’d like to only receive an annual statement. How do I set that up?

Please contact the Donations office by sending an e-mail to donations@omf.org or calling 800.422.5330, ext.242 and request a December only receipt.

Why did I stop receiving receipts?

Receipts are issued for each donation. However, if no further donations are made, no further receipts are issued. We do not send reminders.  If you do not receive a receipt after making a donation, please contact the Donations office and we would be happy to reprint and resend a missing receipt.
