God’s Faithfulness to Nine Generations

In this reflection, the late Dr. Jim Taylor (1929-2009), Hudson Taylor’s great-grandson, looked back on 200 years of God’s faithfulness to his family.

James Hudson Taylor (1832 – 1905)

Taylor read a tract which opened his eyes to see the finished work of Christ. He was soon burdened for the gospel to reach the almost closed empire of China.

Small and Weak?

On June 3, 1905 OMF’s founder James Hudson Taylor breathed his last. Although the mission he founded eventually had to leave China, his work and legacy live on.
