Nextgen 2018

10 November, London

God’s passion is that all nations would come to worship him and glorify his name. He will bring that about, and he will use his Church to do it.

“All the nations you have made shall come
and worship before you, O Lord,
and shall glorify your name.”
– Psalm 86:9

The purpose of NextGen is to equip the church to fulfil the global commission God has placed on his Church. The event gathers the next generation of Christians across the denominations.

Come and receive teaching on the great commission. Hear inspiring stories of God’s faithfulness, told by missionaries serving in the UK and abroad.

Be equipped to live out the call to missions in your every day life.

Speakers

Debbie D

Debbie is UK coordinator for OMF Diaspora Returnee Ministries’ work with mainland Chinese. Before that she worked with Friends International, meeting students from all over the world and visiting returnees to many Asian countries. Concern about the number who fall away from faith after return home led her to do PhD research about Chinese returnees. She has recently published a book: ‘Heading Home with Jesus: Preparing Chinese Students to Follow Christ in China’. Before all this Debbie worked for IBM and the NHS and loves seeing how God uses our various life experiences!

Kirsten W

Kirsten has worked with Friends International for 23 years. For the last 19 years she’s been based in London and is involved in helping churches in the city reach out to international students. She helps run activities for international students at a local university and is also part of a church team who reach out to the local community through teaching English as a second Language. She loves meeting people from all over the world, eating their food and introducing them to Jesus.
