About the event

Please note due to the Covid-19 pandemic and advice from the government to avoid social gatherings we have decided to cancel the Scottish conference in May. We are hoping to put on an alternative event later in the year.

Helping others to know and love Jesus is at the heart of being his disciple. For OMF this remains at the centre as we seek to see indigenous biblical church movements among East Asia’s peoples. Join us as we hear from those involved in evangelism, discipleship and church planting ministries across that region and in Scotland. We will have the opportunity to hear from God’s word, pray together for the people of East Asia and think through what God’s mission looks like in the 21st century. We would love to see you in Arbroath.

Speakers

Alistair Wilson We are delighted to welcome Dr. Alistair Wilson who will lead us through the Bible readings
over the weekend. Alistair is lecturer in mission and New Testament at ETS, as well as leading Kingussie Free Church in the highlands.

Muriel Macleod How do we reach out with the gospel cross-culturally and inter-generationally?
Muriel’s ministry context centres on these beautiful challenges among the peoples of Cambodia.

David  Having spent many years serving in medical mission, David brings insight and wisdom from
both his profession and the way God has used this as a means of making him known to others.

Simon & Jonna Migration presents amazing avenues to communicate the gospel of Jesus while people are living,
working and studying in Scotland. How does the Church in Scotland respond in light of such wonderful opportunity?

Jonny & Penny What happens when someone returns to their home culture having decided to follow Jesus?
Jonny & Penny will help us to engage with some of these challenges and opportunities from their ministry in an East Asian mega city.

The conference will start at 6pm with dinner. However, you are welcome to arrive any time after 5pm.
