About the event
Growing as a disciple of Jesus means living life in light of the cross. It means dying to ourselves and our preferences to see God glorified throughout the world.
At our Cross Culture event, we will think about how the cross shapes ministry among East Asia’s peoples. We will hear the stories of people who serve in East Asia. We will also take the time to respond, pray and serve people who are thinking about what this might mean for them.
Come and join us and see what God is doing in East Asia.
Lorna – has worked in Japan since 1998 in various roles with OMF. She currently serves as Sector Leader for Personnel in OMF Japan. Lorna will be helping us understand the context of Japan and the opportunities to share Jesus there.
Muriel – will be sharing stories of evangelism and disciple-making in Cambodia. Muriel has spent over 15 years in the country with OMF, serving in several church planting teams. Most recently, Muriel worked alongside a Korean couple to support a new, young church plant to reach across different age groups.
Darren & Susan – served with OMF in Cambodia for several years before returning to the UK to work in the OMF office as Director for Finance & Corporate Services and Serve Asia (short-term mission) Coordinator respectively. They will be sharing about their next steps as they move on from these roles.
Allen & Joanna – worked in the Philippines through OMF’s short-term mission programme, Serve Asia. They will be sharing about the ministries they were involved in urban areas and church development work.
