We are discovering so many exciting opportunities to be involved in cross-cultural ministry in the UK and Ireland. Through involvement in local mission among the nations we are also seeing people connecting with God’s mission globally.

OMF’s Intercultural Ministries is a growing community involved in seeking to meet these opportunities and needs. We would love you to consider joining us.

Commit to pray

We want everything we do to be built on and saturated in prayer. We know we can do nothing of true worth unless the Lord is guiding us and working in and through us. We are looking for people to sign-up and commit to praying for our work and those involved. ‘Prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work.’ – Oswald Chambers (1874-1917).

Do a short-term placement

In partnership with our Returnee Focus colleagues we have developed several ‘Beyond Borders’ short-term intercultural mission opportunities in the UK and Ireland. These can range from 2 weeks to 11 months and be done as a tailored individual placement or as part of a team. So far people have done these ‘Beyond Borders’ placements in Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin. It is an opportunity to serve and receive training and mentoring in multicultural ministry contexts which will equip you for a lifetime of intercultural ministry in the UK, Ireland or wherever in the world the Lord may take you.

Joining the Intercultural Ministries team

We have a growing team of 16 people and are praying for more! There are opportunities to serve with us in sharing the good news of Jesus with East Asians and  in resourcing and training to help others do that same. You would also be part of a team which meet regularly for training and development, support, encouragement and prayer.
