Over the past 18 months it has been such a blessing to develop this course and run it with different churches across the UK.
Churches who want to be better equipped to faithfully and fruitfully share the good news of Jesus with people from different nations and cultures living around them.
We’ve been able to explore with them, how in their towns and cities, they might grow as diverse, Christ-centred communities where everyone can find welcome and belonging, and is enabled to serve, share and receive.
With each group, the course is tailored to the particular cultural make-up of their congregation and local community, and where they feel they are at in the process of becoming an intercultural community of worship and witness.
We have run the course online over four sessions, or as an in-person event. We also have an accompanying handbook which each participant will receive as a resource, and maybe even to use to train others.
It was a joy to run this course online last year with a church in Northwich where each of their home groups joined via Zoom. They were able to discuss the content and its possible application in their own church in their groups and then feedback to all the other groups. The church minister told us that the training had really helped the whole church move along in a direction he was longing to see them grow.
