If you’re considering going on a short-term mission trip or you’ve been on one already and want to bring your friends, here are five great opportunities for 2025.
They are ideal for church groups or Bible college groups to do together – but you can also join them as an individual.

1. Kids Ministry Teams in Thailand
June and July (various dates)
Come and help lead and facilitate fun, impactful children programmes at conferences for OMF workers and their families in Thailand in June or July. These programmes not only help parents engage fully with the conference, they also strengthen the faith of children and young people and help them to learn to follow Jesus themselves.
2. Medical Ministry Team
14 June – 1 July
Join a team supporting a local church serving refugees from Myanmar on the Thailand border. This includes meeting physical needs with medical care, prayer walks and other activities to strengthen the work of the local church.
3. Sports Ministry Team, Thailand
1-21 July
Come be a part of an international team to partner local churches and run soccer clinics in schools, play friendly matches with locals and share the gospel in the community!
Not everyone has to be involved in soccer, though. There may be other sports like volleyball as well. There will also be English teaching, conducting crafts and games with children and young people in the community, and also helping to organise resources and materials for the mobile library and managing the team.
4. Prayer Journey Team, Japan
20 October – 1 November
Come and join us for a trip of on-location intercession. We seek to see a movement that reaches every community and gives every person and family an opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus. We recognize the need for prayer and invite you to come and help prepare the way for the gospel to spread throughout the Tohoku area where nine million people currently live.
5. Creative Arts Team in Thailand
June or September for two weeks
A cross-cultural exposure with an artistic twist, exploring what truly matters. One of the people groups we serve in East Asia has a thriving artistic community and there are opportunities to form an art exchange programme through art projects. It’s an exciting way to learn more about local artists’ history, culture, everyday life and even their own stories.
