NobleHi! We are the Nobles – Tim, Brenda, Nate and Pete. We serve in Ayutthaya province, a former capital of Thailand, alongside a small but mighty church in the corner of this province where 10 of the 16 districts do not have a regularly meeting fellowship. Our role is to further equip and encourage Christians here to establish and grow reproducing churches in the unreached areas of this province and strategic neighbouring districts in other provinces.

Tim is from Boulder, Colorado. His parents often hosted international students from the University of Colorado, from which he graduated in 1987 with a degree in linguistics. After teaching in the People’s Republic of China from 1988 to 1993, he earned an MA TESOL from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It was at UIUC that he met Brenda. He first came to Thailand in 1996, teaching at the Rajaphat University and working alongside the church in Lopburi for ten years. The family moved to Ayutthaya on Christmas Day, 2008, after a year’s study at Regent College, Vancouver.

Brenda is from Kenora, Ontario. Her family were very active in children’s and camping ministries and often hosted missionaries. She studied at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario and Regent College as well as teaching in Ontario 2 years.  She came to Thailand with OMF in 1986. She has helped with church work, been language supervisor for newcomers learning Thai (after receiving her MA TESOL at UIUC), and homeschooled Nate and Pete. Now living in Bangkok so the boys can attend international school, she is again helping newcomers learn Thai.

Brenda and Tim were married in 1996. Nate loves soccer (football, for you purists) and dreams of playing professionally some day. Pete loves music and sports and reads anything he can get his hands on.
