Hello, we are Rolf & Elfi Gerber. Our home country is Switzerland. We have served in Thailand for over 20 years and are very happy to do pioneer church planting. We can see Jesus at work as He has promised: “I will build my church” and He is doing it. We have worked in different locations in Central Thailand before moving to Northeast Thailand, also called Isaan. Since January 2013 we live in Sahatsakhan district in the province of Kalasin.
How did we decide to go to Isaan? Well William Carey once said “To know the will of God, we need an open Bible and an open map.” So we prayed and studied the map. There are over 20 districts in and around Kalasin province. As it is our desire to preach the Gospel where it is not known, we decided to go to that area. We are the cluster leaders for Kalasin and Sakhonnakhon Province.
Our vision is to see churches in many towns and villages that multiply themselves. It is our desire to see lay leaders being discipled and trained to carry on the work of evangelism and church planting.
At the moment we are 3 family units in the two provinces, but we desire to reach many more districts. So we are looking for people who are willing to live in the countryside and share their lives and the Gospel with the people around them.
