Today, October 26th 2017, with the ceremonies of the royal cremation, Thailand bids its final farewell to the beloved, late king H.M. Bhumibol Adulyadej. Born on December 5th 1927 he ascended the throne on June 9th 1946. At the time of his death on October 13th 2016 he was the world’s longest-serving head of state...
We, Reinout & Arenda van Heiningen, came to Asia in 2004. We’re sent out by GZB (Dutch Reformed Mission) and OMF. After serving in different countries with OMF for a couple of years, we made a move to Isaan, northeast-Thailand, in the beginning of 2010. We came to Thailand after realizing the huge need for believers who would be willing to bring the gospel to the millions of unreached people in Thailand. We started off as church planters and by God’s grace we’ve seen a church come into being in an unreached area. The church is is functioning more and more on its own.
Since October 2016 we moved to Bangkok together with our 3 boys Nathan, Manuel and Timon, to take up the role as finance and admin managers for the Thailand field.
Besides this, we are still going back to Isaan once a month to help out our church there and Reinout is coordinating internet evangelization for Thailand.
It’s our hope and prayer that in the coming years all the unreached areas of Thailand will be reached with the gospel and that indigenous, multiplying churches will be established all over Thailand.
