After many years working as a kindergarten teacher and as a therapist for people with special needs, God began leading Angelika through his word to serve him overseas. As she has always been fascinated by the history of Asian countries Angelika applied to go with Christian Services International to work in Asia as a tentmaker. Leaving work and studying for a short term at a bible school she received report of a Christian Organization working with orphans with special needs in Thailand. During the time of working with a Christian care foundation for children with disabilities she recognized how much the care for the children, before they came to the foundation, was influenced by Buddhism. Seeing the darkness in the lives of these kids and adults grew in her a passion to introduce them to the love of Christ and the light that comes with His Word.
After returning back to Germany in 2004 and obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Theology, working part time and volunteering at a church it has taken another 13 years before God again opened the door to work overseas. Now with OMF Angelika is working with a group of Thai Christians and a British colleague in LaadYao, Central Thailand, to share the Word of God and to encourage the Thai Christians in the region to share their faith with family, friends and neighbors.
