The Mission Field Is:-

East Asia.

Our mission field has always been Unreached People Groups (UPGs).  At times, we may feel that the concept of tribal or people group missions is a thing of the past. However, God is still at work among these groups today. In East Asia, nearly all locations of UPGs are known, and efforts are underway to engage with them. In one nation in the Mekong, where there are over a hundred UPGs, every people group is being engaged with the Gospel. All these have happened in the past 6 years or so.

The Zhuang people group is spread out through East Asia, and a smaller group sparsely spread through Mekong.

Matthew 24:14 tells us that the Gospel will be preached throughout the world as a testimony to all nations (people groups), and then the end will come. Revelations 7:9 speaks of an uncountable multitude from all nations, tribes, peoples, and languages.  Paul in Romans 15:23 tells us that in his toil there is no place in the region left for him to work, thus I believe there were witnesses for the Gospel in every known group in that space.

Isobel Kuhn, when struggling to move to Chiang Mai after they were expelled from China in the 50s to continue their work with the minorities, cried out, “What can we offer to this darkness?” Civilisation? Education? Religion?  The answer is in Genesis 1:2, the Spirit of God is hovering over the waters, over the immense darkness.  The Word has the notion of fluttering or even vibrating and shaking the darkness to break its hold.  She used the term “Rim of translucency”, the moment the dawn breaks the darkness over the horizon.

What we do in missions, we are the conduit, a catalyst to expand the Kingdom of God.

The goal or the field is the Unreached People Groups, the source of change is the Holy Spirit. We are the conduit. What we do be it business, good works, preaching, even church planting are just the means.
