Local opportunity- Director for Information Technology (full-time, OMF International Center)

The Role

The Director for Information Technology (ITD) is responsible for the effective implementation and oversight of IT services to International Center. The ITD gives overall leadership to the Fellowship Services IT Area.

The ITD works closely with the Center Leaders and the International Leadership Team to ensure that IT policies, systems, and processes are communicated and implemented in a way that effectively fulfils OMF’s Vision, Mission, Beliefs & Values.

The ITD works alongside the other International Coordinators to provide the Fellowship with integrated services so that members are fully equipped for effective ministry.

General Responsibilities

• Oversee the Fellowship’s data and security.
• Maintain network infrastructure and IT assets for the International Center.
• Maintain Microsoft 365 and other systems for appropriate operations and security.
• Envision how technology will be used within the Fellowship while setting the technical strategy for the organisation and further implementing new technologies within the organisation to ensure its success.
• Act as a liaison between the vendors and the business by taking on the responsibilities of technical vendor/partner relations and helping to deliver IT projects to the Fellowship.
• Keep abreast of fast changing technology trends and its impact on the Fellowship while responding quickly to trends, changes, and the needs of the organisation, its people, and those it serves.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the International Center’s IT department, including end-user support, infrastructure and IT systems, and IT projects.
• Develop IT policies, procedures, and strategies to enhance the Fellowship’s services.
• Be involved in the International Service Fund budgeting and carrying out cost-benefit analysis.


• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, computer information systems, IT management, or database administration, is required.
• Ideally, candidates hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration, though this is not mandatory. A background in computer science or a related field is preferred, particularly for roles involving strategic initiatives, development, recruitment, and budget management aspects of the business.
• Alternatively, candidates with substantial practical experience gained through progressive roles within the IT sector across various organisations will also be considered.
