In one of the slum areas that we minister in we were welcomed into this home. What a shock to see so many idols in the home of a family living in the slums. Although they are not financially stable and have very little in terms of furniture they have spent thousands of Baht acquiring idols. They believe that the spirits of these idols – if honoured and kept happy – will protect them and bless them but if the spirit of the idol is unhappy, it will bring bad luck on them and their family.
Please pray that as we minister in the slums that the people we interact with will see Jesus in us and begin to question the benefit of their idols. Pray for curiosity from these people to want to know about the one true God.
