At OMF International, we believe that every person has value and dignity. We are committed to creating environments where people are safe, respected, and protected from harm. In particular, we seek to protect and safeguard all children and all adults at risk, both those within our Fellowship and those we meet through our activities and ministries. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we take both prevention and response seriously.
We promote a strong culture of safeguarding by:
- Maintaining a clear Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct that all personnel must follow.
- Screening all personnel before they begin serving with OMF. This includes safeguarding checks and, where appropriate, additional references and background checks.
- Providing initial safeguarding training for all personnel and regular refresher training.
- Having a trained International Facilitator for Safeguarding Services to oversee safeguarding across the Fellowship.
- Having local Safeguarding Advocates who understand local requirements and help promote good safeguarding practices within their Centers.
- Requiring all personnel to report safeguarding concerns or suspicions of harm.
- Maintaining a trained International Safeguarding Response Team that reviews all concerns and carries out safeguarding responses when needed.
- Seeking advice and support from external specialists and agencies when additional expertise is required.
We are committed to responding to safeguarding concerns promptly, consistently, and with the safety and wellbeing of those affected as our first priority.

You can:
- Complete the Safeguarding Concern Reporting Form;
- or Email our safeguarding team at safeguarding@omfmail.com.
If you are unsure whether a concern should be reported, we encourage you to report it anyway. Our International Safeguarding Response Team will review the information and decide what action, if any, is needed.
