Praise God that different ministries are continuing strong as the senior missionaries are on Home Assignment for a year. Pray for wisdom and guidance in planning for different outreach classes. Pray for unity and wisdom as our new team plans for Hikari Kids, and that more kids will join.
Hiragishi Izumi
Please pray for our ongoing evangelistic Bible Studies, English Café (praise God for a new attendee), small groups, and prayer meetings. We have a members’ meeting on the 14th. Pray for the Lord to raise up new deacons, and also for church members in ill-health. The building project has hit a hurdle and may be delayed by a month – please continue to pray for all our needs to be provided, and for the construction to proceed smoothly. May our love for Christ increase and our hearts burn with zeal for his gospel.
Hokuei Christ Church
Pray for the parenting seminar on 6th. May God empower church members in using their God-given experiences and knowledge to reach non-church families. Pray for several 1-2-1 Bible studies for seekers and new believers, for deeper understanding of his truthfulness and faithfulness.
Obihiro Glory Church
Pray the church grows in evangelism, discipleship, and studying the Bible. Please pray for the city-wide evangelistic rally on 20th to be sold out and that many hearts would turn to Christ. Pray all the logistics of the event would go smoothly. A friend of the missionary will move to Osaka with her kids while her husband stays in Obihiro to work. Pray her husband can work in Osaka soon too so they can be together.
TCK (Third Culture Kid) Advisor Team
Pray for preparation and provision for the TCK Summer Camp in Aomori from 22nd – 24th July. Pray for all students with end-of-year exams to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus and to trust him. Pray for OMF Japan families who have recently moved within Japan or are preparing for Home Assignment. Pray for each child to grow in faith through the transition. Pray that young children whose parents are in language school in Sapporo will adjust quickly to new childcare helpers from July.
Sendai Evangelical Christian Church
Pray for planning for our Children’s Evangelism in July. May the Lord be pleased to use this event for his glory and that it will be effective for the start of an increasing work among children. In church services we are going through the 10 Commandments. Please pray that this leads to conviction of sin, an increased sense of Jesus grace and godly lives. Pray for God to increase our numbers and to raise up teachers, preachers and other gifts.
Yamagata Nanbu Church
Please pray for the evangelism seminar held towards the end of June, that the Lord will use it to encourage the church members to tell others about Jesus!
