Chitose Light Chapel
Please pray for all the Christmas events this month (the Children’s Kids outreach on the 7th, Adult’s English class Christmas special, Preschooler’s English Christmas, Christmas worship service and celebration time afterwards on the 20th) for regular non-Christian attendees to know the true meaning of Christmas. Sermons on the 13th (Chitose) and14th (Sapporo) and on the 27th (Chitose) and 28th(Sapporo). Please also pray for meetings with non-Christian friends to share God’s love and Gospel well, and safety in driving this winter.
Sapporo Seisho Christ Church
Praise for preaching at Midori Gaoka Church on 26th Oct. Pray for the teens meeting at home on 29th Nov, for sharing in the meeting and connecting with the teenagers. Pray for the Christmas concert at Sapporo Seisho Church on 21st Dec, for the family doing childcare and hoping to share the story of Jesus’s birth. Pray for hand-over from Hirabuki Sensei as he will leave the church next spring. Pray for God’s guidance in mission and that we glorify our Lord. Pray for a language helper from the church.
Shiroishi Megumi Church
Pray looking forward to several Christmas activities at the church: 14th kids/family afternoon outreach event, 21st Christmas worship, 24th Candlelight celebration, 25th Christmas cafe. May God be glorified!
Kanto Sector Leader
Pray for strength for Kanto sector missionaries in the busyness of Christmas events, and for good rest at the end of the year. Pray that the gospel will be clearly proclaimed, and many will be drawn to seek or decide to put their faith in Jesus this Christmas time.
Church Planting Facilitator
Thanks; settling into Yokohama, OMF International’s Lazarus Homeless/Poor Fund. Pray to find ways to publicise this fund. The outreach with Matsuyama Holiness Church. 1st; Giving an uplifting message at Yokohama Pastors meeting. 21st; Community Christmas Festival by Japanese Gospel Church (Yokohama) hoping to reach over 100 people.
Kodaira Bible Christ Church
Please pray for upcoming Christmas events. These will be great opportunities for families in the community to be exposed to the Gospel Message. Praise God that two people recently gave their lives to the Lord and the church are looking forward to their baptisms, possibly around Christmas time. Please pray that “Mr. Lincoln” can be strengthened by the Lord and continue to come to Bible Study on Wednesdays.
Kurume Christ Church, Higashi Kurume, Tokyo
More students attend church weekly. Please pray for all the Christmas preparations. The church is also transitioning between pastors—may God bless and guide the leaders. One missionary teen is going to start his baptismal class this month. May the Lord guard his spiritual journey towards baptism.
Member Care & Counselling
Thanks to God for providing an apartment at Yokohama. Pray for friendship and connection in the new community. Pray that counsellees will take time to pause, reflect and rejoice in how God has guided them through the challenges faced throughout this year.
Aomori Christian Center (ACC)
Praise for the completion of the exterior of Bethel Lodge! Pray for protection of all the buildings from snow damage during the winter months. During Advent, rather than running or hosting programs, Aomori Christian Center supports local churches with their Christmas outreaches. Please pray for the Evangelical Church of Aomori’s Christmas gospel concert on November 30th and Children’s Christmas event on December 13th. Pray for Toyama Church’s Children’s Christmas event on December 20th. Pray for ACC’s evening English communion services on the first and thirds Sundays of each month.
Natori New Life Christ Church, Miyagi
Pray for the Christmas Eve service at church. One missionary will share a message and together the team will provide some special music. Pray that neighbours and language class friends will come to the service. Many are catching the flu and other illnesses. Some events and get-togethers have been cancelled. Pray that despite these seemingly unfortunate setbacks, God will still allow all grow in friendship and so share Christ.
