This month’s focus is on the Tohoku region. With Easter in Early April, please pray for events and follow ups, that Jesus’ name would be made known and glorified among the Japanese in Tohoku.
Tohoku Sector Leader
Thank the Lord’s providing for and watching over the Hanamaki Storage work, and for his strengthening one missionary as he works on it. Please continue to pray for safety as the work continues. Please pray for one of the leaders as she travels to Singapore for the Third Culture Kids Consultation later in the month. Please continue to pray for those transitioning into and out of Tohoku in this season, and for the teams and churches experiencing these changes alongside them. Pray for Tohoku churches and Christians sharing Christ’s death and resurrection this Easter.

We look forward to Easter weekend with a Passover meal, Easter Breakfast, and then worship and a shared meal. Pray for our associate workers, all balancing various ministries with language learning. Pray especially for two of these, as they have continuing conversations about becoming full members of OMF, and for ending their associate terms well.

Sendai Evangelical Christian Church
We are thankful for the Lord bringing the one missionary couple back after their 4 month HA which was busy and fruitful. Please pray big prayers for SECC these next 4 years: 1) For revival in Sendai Evangelical – are a small, poor, weak, ungifted church. Above all, all need more faith. 2) For evangelism – For the gates of hell not to withstand the advance of the church. Jesus promised this. 3) For a Japanese gospel minister. The Lord has promised to give gifts to his church though we cannot see a suitable person yet. From 16th-19th we have three Country Western concerts at different venues. Pray that English students will move from curiosity about the Bible to real spiritual hunger. Two men involved in baptismal preparation seem to have faith but are not attending worship.
