Sapporo Guest Home (SGH)
Guests arrive this month for a vision trip; please pray that God will open the right doors at the right time. The guest home refurbishment will continue for some weeks; please pray for safety and success.
Deputy Hokkaido Sector Leader
Please pray for the new Deputy Hokkaido Sector Leaders to get orientated in the role, to pick things up quickly, communicate well, and serve the Sector together in unity.
COEN Life
Please pray for the Easter Service, that the reality and hope of resurrection will be an encouragement to members. Some colleagues will join COEN on Wednesdays to learn more about running a missional business. May God guide and help.
Hiragishi Izumi
A student from the Hokkaido Bible Institute joins the church for a year from April – please pray for mutual blessing. Please pray for the evangelistic Easter service, that many will come and believe.
Nayoro Grace Church
Pray for the new sign language class, and for the new church plant in Nishi Okoppe. Please pray for God’s protection and blessing.
Church Planting Facilitator
Pray for a couple and a team from Singapore as they share in homeless ministry, Bible studies and outreach. Pray for Singaporean churches working towards sending workers through “LoveJapan”.
Nakayoshi Church
Please pray for Nakayoshi Church as they prepare an Easter play; pray it would be effective. Pray for the short-term missionaries to settle in and get to know people. Pray for one member preaching at the “Sidewalk Chapel” on 1st April and at Nakayoshi Church on 23rd April.
Returnee Ministries
An Easter Party, and the first hybrid English Gathering for returnees will be held on 8th April. Pray for new connections, deepening relationships and spiritual growth as colleagues meet returnees.
Meiji Gakuin University, Tokyo Christian University (TCU), Hokkaido Bible Institute (HBI)
Two OMF members begin full-time studies this month, one at Meiji Gakuin University and one at Tokyo Chrisitian University. A third continues their studies at Hokkaido Bible Institute. Pray for campus life, their studies, and good times of rest.
Still Waters Spiritual Retreat
Please pray for God’s blessing on the Still Waters Spiritual Retreat for missionaries (17th-20th April). Two OMF members lead and 17 people will attend.
Serve Japan
Many short-term workers have arrived or will arrive this year. Please pray for those involved in organisation and pastoral care. Pray for the new workers to settle in quickly and to be used by God.
Hanamaki Megumi
Please pray that many will respond and be saved through Easter and other events in coming months. A band night will be held on 15th April to reach people who don’t come to other events. Please pray for good involvement from church members and a clear gospel message.
Tsugaru Gospel Church – Kanagi Chapel
New short-term colleagues will be working at Kanagi until September; pray for good beginnings. Give thanks for new contacts and attendees at Kanagi Chapel. Please pray too for Easter activities, a baby dedication (2nd April) and a wedding (28th April).
Sendai Student Focus (SSF)
Pray for Christian students, professors and counsellors as another school year begins. A monthly worship service will be held beginning 27th April, and an English exchange on 11th May. Pray for preparation and favour.
YahaBible Network
Please pray against fear and shame and that the team would be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit as they witness this Easter. Please pray for God to save those with whom the team is reading the Bible or having spiritual conversations.
Jesus Christ Family Church
Pray for the Easter Fair Outreach Event for kids on 1st April, and the English Bible Café meeting on 8th April.
