As we celebrate Christmas this month, let us give thanks for the incarnation of Jesus, who brought peace with God. Let us pray for God’s peace and blessing to fall on the Muslims in East and Southeast Asia this December.
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.” – Isaiah 26:3
- Give thanks for the significant Christian populations living in Muslim-majority Southeast Asia, and pray that as they celebrate Christmas, they will bring peace and blessing to their Muslim neighbours.
- “Peace be upon you” is a common greeting among Muslims worldwide. Pray that Muslims would come to know God’s peace in their lives and communities.
- Many Chinese Christians are afraid of Muslims and do not have any Muslim friends. Pray that they may develop a courageous heart to befriend and bless Muslim people.
- Forgiveness can be quite rare in Silk Road communities. Pray for local Christians to honor God by being trustworthy friends, who model peace through godly forgiveness.
- Lord, there is often miscommunication and tension between different ethnic groups in Silk Road communities. Pray for Christians involved in reconciliation to help bring peace so that real friendships may grow.
- As we give thanks for the incarnation this month, ask God to help us think of all people as he does. ‘Through him all things were made, without him nothing was made that has been made’ (John 1:3).
