Chris, a 27-year-old from the US, came with his two sisters to serve at an OMF conference in July 2015.
He was on the Science Team, and he had a great time helping lead the different Third Culture Kids (TCK’s) groups in hands-on science experiments.

After he returned to the US, he received a follow-up email from the OMF conference hosts thanking him for his service and letting him know about other short-term opportunities that were coming up in 2016.
One of the highlighted opportunities in the email was a two-month TCK internship. Within 6 months of returning from his first Serve Asia experience, he was on a plane to Asia again, but this time on his own.
Along with teaching the TCK programs for 3 different conferences and trainings, Chris also did some language study and partnered with a team that is focuses on getting God’s Word into the hands of an unreached people group.
About halfway through his 2-month internship, Chris felt the Lord tugging at his heart. He felt the Lord saying, “You can do this too. You can serve me here in Asia long-term.”
Although these thoughts were a bit overwhelming, and the exact details and timeline are unknown, he is confident that this is where the Lord is leading him.
