At school in Taiwan, kids are taught about many Chinese New Year related traditions and stories. They also make crafts to bring home. Many Chinese New Year items have meaning, such as ‘fish’ because it sounds like ‘surplus’. This year is the year of the tiger so there are tiger themed objects.
