Missionaries supporting one another in prayer in Japan

OMF missionaries in the Kanto area (greater Tokyo area) have a monthly Prayer and Praise meeting. By doing so, we are connected as OMF family and the body of Christ. Together we pray for each other and for the work of God’s kingdom that we are part of. Each time we meet and pray, we feel encouraged, refreshed, and reconnected.

Besides the monthly Prayer & Praise meeting, we also have small groups called “Fellowship Groups”. There are six ladies in my group. Regardless of the different nationalities, backgrounds, and ages, we are united in Christ. This group has been a safe place for us to share the joys and struggles of life and ministry, big or small, and pray for each other.

In the last two years with Covid, we continued the meetings via Zoom. This had helped us together walk through this tough season.

Recently, a mother in our Fellowship group shared her prayer need for her relationship with her teenage son.

We prayed.

The next day we received a message from her saying that she was able to have a good long talk with her son that evening. Her son was able to understand her better, which meant a lot to both of them.

God hears our prayers, he remembers our prayers, and he answers our prayers according to his good and perfect will.

Jesus said, “I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13 NIV).

We want to see more of God’s glory and we will keep praying in his name.

By Grace, an OMF missionary
