Making the most of our investments

Our missionaries are a big investment. It costs money for them to fly to Taiwan, to move things here, to learn the language and culture, to look after their health, to educate their children, enabling their ministries and assisting them to stay here and share God’s love with the Taiwanese people.

Sometimes we can be overawed by the scale of such investments. But it is my conviction that God wants us to invest in them. God wants us to do things in a way that helps them to grow and flourish while they are here.

Sometimes we can be overawed by the scale of such investments. But it is my conviction that God wants us to invest in them. God wants us to do things in a way that helps them to grow and flourish while they are here.

This investment goes beyond money. It includes learning how we best honour the people we live among and how best to live as good guests here complying with Government rules and regulations. It can include tips as to where to look to help people manage issues like taxation back home.

But often to know how best to help our colleagues, I need to spend time with them. Helping them understand how things work, and learning from them what they need and what worries them.

Pray for good ongoing relationships between the Finance Team and our workers. Pray that we can provide the support they need to do the things that God has brought them to Taiwan to do.

Taipei Office
