This month, Muslims will celebrate Muharram, the first month of the Hijri calendar (AH), which will fall on the 16th June. Muslims use the Hijri calendar to record dates. The Quran designates this month as the second most holy month after Ramadan. In many Muslim-majority nations in Southeast Asia, the day is celebrated as a national holiday.

• Many Muslims believe that those who truly follow Islam are at perfect peace both with themselves and others. Pray for God’s people in East and Southeast Asia to display joy and peace in their relationships as they join in with the New Year celebrations.
• Pray for Christians living as minorities in Southeast Asia to persevere and to keep finding creative new ideas to bring blessing into the Muslim communities they live among.
• Pray for more people around the world to be burdened to pray regularly for China’s Muslims.
