Sally grew up in a traditional Taoist home, where every festival meant bowing before countless temple gods. But deep inside, she felt uneasy – was this really her path, or just a ritual for gain?
Bullied for being different, Sally’s heart had been dragged down by self-doubt. Then one day, while helping her father at the fruit stall, she heard music – worship songs from a community gathering. Drawn in by the melodies, she met OMF missionaries, Audrey & Gus, who welcomed her. That night, something shifted.
She visited Puxin Christian Church the next day. There, she heard the Word, and slowly, her anxious heart began to meet God.
Though university life pulled her away, illness brought her back to her hometown, and back to God. She opened her Bible, listened to hymns, and discovered “a love that asked for nothing but her heart.”
She said, “I can finally find the direction that truly guides me – He is the Lord Jesus Christ.”
“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” (Isaiah 9:2)
Pray for Sally’s continued growth in faith, and that her family, too, may one day find God’s guidance and the everlasting light of Christ.
