It was getting dark when we arrived at the third church we had planned to visit that day in the Northeast of Thailand. Our group consisted of several members of the ACT board, the OMF regional leader in Isaan, OMF field director and some local leaders.
The goal of visits like these is twofold. First, we aim to gain a deeper knowledge of local ACT churches and encourage their leaders. Second, we hope to strengthen the unity and sense of belonging within the wider fellowship of ACT.
Local leaders shared with us their joys and challenges in shepherding their churches and as they attempt to reach out to nearby communities in all sorts of ways.
We also took time to worship the Lord together, encourage them with the Word, and pray for the churches, their leaders, their members and the communities.
Two full days, visiting nine churches, spread far apart over two provinces. What a blessing to see God at work in these churches and surrounding areas.
