Paralyzed but Praising God

Aunty Mat used to have everything. She was a wealthy land broker living in Bangkok. She and her husband had a house, a car, jewellery, and plenty of money. She had heard about Jesus and friends had invited her to go to church, but she was not interested. One day she suddenly had a stroke, fell, and her life took a turn. She became paralysed. The following months and years were spent in and out of the hospital. She used up all her savings on medical treatment. She and her husband sold their car, their house, and moved back to the village. 16 years later she is still paralysed. Yet, it was in this state that she became open to Jesus. She lives just a few blocks from the church in Sawaeng Ha, Angthong. The church planting team went to visit her and shared the gospel with her. She received Jesus into her life! She finally experienced peace and contentment. Every time we visit her, she greets us with a smile and thanks the Lord. She is full of the Lord’s joy despite her physical ailments. Although her earthly possessions are few, Jesus is enough for her. She has everything that she needs.
