- Sacrificial Love: Portraits of CIM Missionaries in Gansu and Xinjiang by Sik Pui Wong “For the love of Christ contraineth us” (2 Cor. 5:14a KJV). This was the motivation that sent missionaries to serve under the China Inland Mission (CIM), founded in 1865 by James Hudson Taylor. Because its thrust was “inland,” here we have biographies of those who served in Gansu and Xinjiang in the far northwest. In spite of floods, famines, earthquakes, wars and rumours of wars, sickness and death (often tragic), they stood with their Chinese colleagues and friends. Truly, it was Christ’s sacrificial love that sent and empowered them.

- Safeguarding Our Children Spiritually by Karen Louise challenges parents to re-evaluate many culturally accepted beliefs and behaviours that we, as Christian families and churches, have passively embraced. Louise is concerned that many fellow Christian parents have fallen asleep, leaving the doors of our homes wide open to the enemy’s presence, and our families vulnerable to his attack. Louise provides solutions with biblical narratives and truths, culturally relevant situations and from her own personal experiences.
