Legazpi City. Sunday, 5 p.m. High tide. Typhoon weakening. Also from Andy Smith.

All OMF workers in areas that have a Signal 2 or 3 [warning in their area] have reported in today.  All is well with them, though they are aware that it is “the calm before the storm.”

Workers in Bohol report “Believers from Samar ministry sites have texted to say they are safe in evacuation shelters.  We opened our house in Jiabong to two families who are friends that live in stilt houses along the sea.  They are grateful and report strong winds.”

One team prepare for a series of evangelistic Christmas activities as follows: “Veloso on the 12th, Pinalangga on the 13th, Binukyahan & SAFE on the 14th.”  This assumes, of course, that they can get back by then.  A further complication: as of 2:35pm today, they texted that the house where they are living “is slowly losing its roof”.  I assume that a lost roof will mean damaged or lost possessions and a need to look for another place to live.  Please continue to pray for them.

One couple have cancelled a ministry trip and have stayed in Cebu City, which is already at a Signal 2.  They communicated that they are using the day to pray.

Let us stay prepared.  Let us pray.  Let us  share with those who experience losses.
