We are South African Aussies with a heart for Japan!
In 2013, during an unexpected, difficult season of our lives, God convicted us to start the journey towards full-time mission work. He gave us an increasing love and burden for Japan, a culturally rich country where less than 1% know and follow Jesus. We learned that while Japanese are often resistant to the gospel in Japan, they are far more likely to turn to God while studying or working overseas.
The Lord led us to become part of this movement of the Holy Spirit, and we went to Japan for four years to get better equipped to reach Japanese people while they are in Australia. God equipped us with Japanese language, culture, ministry networks, and a better understanding of what it might be like for someone to return to Japan as a Christian. We learned from Japanese people who became Christians whilst overseas, then returned home to Japan, and persevered in their faith. We were inspired by their significant gospel influence in Japan, despite challenging circumstances.
As we enter our second term of missionary work, we are privileged to welcome Japanese people to Australia. Our prayer is to love, reach and help disciple them, and equip others in Sydney to do the same – and then connect them to warm Christian fellowship when they return to Japan.

- Pray for us for sensitivity to the Spirit’s leading, that He will open doors for the right ministries and for Japanese to hear about Jesus and experience His love while they are in Sydney.
- Pray for Japanese Christians to thrive in a tough spiritual environment in Japan and to boldly reach others in Japan with God’s love.
- Pray that we will grow in our relationships with God and each other, find our joy, identity and comfort in Him, and keep trusting Him.
- Pray for provision of all our practical, emotional and spiritual needs. May we have mutually encouraging partnerships with churches and individuals.
