From 2017, Hefin and Janet have served in Davao, Philippines. Hefin has taught New Testament subjects at Koinonia Theological Seminary (KTS), helping equip church leaders for ministry, while Janet has supported OMF Philippines through photography, videography, media projects, and mobilisation activities. Together, they have had the privilege of witnessing God’s work as churches have grown, leaders have been trained, and stories of gospel advance have been shared across the nation.
As the Jones family re-settle in Australia, Janet hopes to continue serving with OMF NSW in media, mobilisation, and people care ministry, while Hefin is seeking a church pastoral role that will also enable him to continue teaching part-time at KTS remotely. Rhiannon will continue her high school studies.
We thank God for a smooth Home Assignment transition back to Australia in 2026. As Missionaries in Residence at Sydney Missionary & Bible College, the family has enjoyed encouraging students and advocating for cross-cultural mission while participating in community life.
