Three things that you might not know about me…
- I started exploring Christianity and its answers to my big questions because a friend invited me to hot pot at their youth group
- After my friends introduced me to Japanese culture through anime, I explored very different kinds of Japanese movies – everything from the real-life comedy “The Chef of South Polar” to Akira Kurosawa’s samurai movies based on Shakespearean plays
- I went to Japan in 2011, staying for 6 weeks with a church in Kobe and a housemate who collected perfumes for a hobby
What ministry will I be doing in Japan?
I hope to start ministry in Japan in August 2025 with two years of language and culture learning in Sapporo, Hokkaido. I am seeking guidance from God and others about the exact ministry I’ll be involved in after those two years. As my heart is burdened for cities and towns that do not have even one church, I am leaning towards church planting in a city or a town in northern Japan.
Wherever I go, I am looking forward to my partnership with you all in the gospel!
Can you keep these crucial things in your prayers?
- For the glorious gospel of God would spread more and more in Japan (2 Thess 3:1)
- For our Saviour to save many people in the spiritual battle (2 Cor 3:15-18)
- For me to walk humbly with Jesus (2 Pet 3:18)
- For me and all of God’s people in Japan to continue in what we have learned from God’s teachers and God’s word (2 Tim 3:10-17)
- For thankfulness because of grace, mercy and peace in Christ (2 John 3)
