Billions Magazine: September – December 2025 (Australian Edition)

Cambodia is a land of striking contrasts — from the ancient majesty of Angkor Wat to the tragic scars of the Khmer Rouge era, when nearly 90% of believers perished and the church was almost wiped out. Yet from that faithful remnant, who sowed in tears, God has brought about a new harvest.

Today, young Christians are sharing the gospel on university campuses, missionaries are serving quietly among the Khmer and ethnic minorities, and local churches are rising once more. Stories of leaders like Pastor Vachna remind us that even in seasons of deep loss, the gospel cannot be extinguished.

As OMF worker Chern Chern reflects, we are “the dying on the way to living,” sorrowing yet never without hope. This edition celebrates how that hope is now bearing fruit again in Cambodia — a testimony to God’s grace and the promise of Galatians 6:9: “At the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
