Pray for myanmar cyclone

According to the BBC:

Over 77,000 people have been killed and over 55,000 remain missing in the wake of the devastating cyclone that hit western Burma. Aid shipments are now being prepared. Thousands of survivors of Cyclone Nargis are lacking shelter, drinking water, power and communications.

Bamar Ministry Fund (#300101)

OMF workers are using donated funds to purchase and transport medicine and supplies into the country. They have also been partnering with local churches and other believers to provide clean water, pediatric care and other basic necessities. Some are also responding to specific requests to rebuild homes for disabled persons.

While we are not a relief agency, we look to support disaster relief in practical ways primarily as a means toward advancing the gospel. We often partner with local believers and churches with whom we are already engaged. We are most effective with projects designed toward long-term development, and our goal and hope is to make permanent investments in lives and communities.

Donations should be made by check and mailed to OMF International, 10 W. Dry Creek Circle, Littleton, CO 80120-4413. Giving on-line by credit card will slow the process.
